Do I need a die cut sticker or a kiss cut sticker? It’s a question we hear all the time. Let Stickerbeat answer this query for you so you can create your custom sticker masterpiece with ease.
The good news is that you’ve got options that will suit any need you may have, but truly die cut stickers and kiss cut stickers are quite similar! The difference is in how we cut through the backing.
Die cut stickers:
Our custom die cut stickers allow you full freedom to create ANY image you want. We put no limits on what shape, size or color it is. With a die cut sticker, our cutting knives cut right through the vinyl AND backing material fully to the exact shape of your sticker. The backing paper comes in two parts to make it easy to crack and peel to separate. It’s the traditional look we all know and love! If you’ve got a lot of stickers to stick, we do offer die cut stickers on a roll that makes them easier to apply. These save a lot of time and cut down on paper waste as well. Kiss Cut sticker: Personalized kiss cut stickers have all the same features of our custom die cut stickers. Shape, color and size are yours to decide. BUT your sticker is NOT fully cut through backing paper, and only through the vinyl of your kiss cut sticker itself. This leaves the backing paper around your sticker, so it’s a little easier to peel off than a traditional die cut sticker. Our special cutting blades are laser-guided and can magically cut your custom kiss cut sticker right up to the very edge of your design with ease.
Kiss cut stickers are super easy to remove from their backer paper to peel, and you can save money by ordering our sticker sheets with as many stickers will fit on an 8 ½” x 11” sheet.
Both our personalized die cut stickers and our custom kiss cut stickers are made from the same durable 3M Scotchcal graphic vinyl. You get the same superior laminated topping for protection on either option you choose. Both are waterproof, UV resistant, and can survive heat and cold. It’s simply a matter of choice if you want extra backing paper or not to make your sticking happen faster.
If you are going to be mailing stickers to customers or handing them out at events, a die cut sticker is the way to go for a clean look. If you are going to be labeling lots of products, kiss cut stickers will make the process go by faster for sure.
